Pirelli issues recall of PZero Corsas
WASHINGTONPirelli Tire L.L.C. has recalled 1,680 PZero Corsa tires, size 285/35 ZR19 (99Y) K1, for possible tread and belt edge separation.
The tires, manufactured between June 2007 and July 2009, are specified for the Ferrari 430 Scuderia and Scuderia Spider 16M vehicles, Pirelli told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in a Sept. 1 letter. When those vehicles are driven at speeds above 168 mph, the recalled tires can develop belt edge and partial tread separation, leading to a crash, the tire maker said.
