A Mexican woman is seeking as much as $30 million from Dunlop Ltd. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires North America Ltd. on behalf of her son, whose father was killed in an auto accident allegedly caused by a defective tire.
Esther Chavez filed suit Aug. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Beaumont Division. She seeks between $1 million and $6 million in general and special damages and $4 million to $24 million in exemplary damages for her minor child, Jose Carlos Esquivel Chaveza citizen of Mexicoin connection with the death of his father, Raul Esquivel Navarrete.
