ABANDONED for the day by my wife, the big question was where to take our three children for a grand day out.
For many families run by hard-pressed single parents, this is a regular occurrence.
What I was looking for, accordingly, was a place for our children to be safely 'let off the leash'.
Somewhere that would have an educational benefit and not be too expensive in these recessionary times.
I can think of lots of places where I wouldn't want to try to keep three youngsters of different ages fully occupied and within view.
But knowing of an alternative is not always that obvious.
Step forward, then, the Avoncroft ...
