EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
THE 25 largest private-sector employers in Los Angeles County are spread across a diverse group of industries, including health care, retail, aerospace, telecommunications and education. They' have a combined work force of 240,000, down 3,000 employees from a year ago.
The health care sector is the largest group on the list. The seven health care providers, led by No. 1 Kaiser Permanente, employ 73,884 people in the county.
Northrop Grumman Corp. and Boeing Co., m the aerospace category, are the second and third largest employers, respectively. Northrop Grumman employs 19,137 people locally, down 7 percent from a year ago. ...
