SYDNEY, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 1998--Telstra announced today that it will take a 10 percent equity stake in the WorldPartners Company global telecommunications alliance.

Telstra is the fifth owner of the WorldPartners Company, joining AT&T (36 percent), KDD (18 percent), Unisource (18 percent) and Singapore Telecom (18 percent).

The WorldPartners Association is an alliance of the world's leading communications carriers who provide global seamless communications services to the world's largest companies.
