Article: EARNINGS OF PHILIPPINES LISTED FIRMS GROWS 46.3% IN H1.

MANILA, Sept 21 Asia Pulse - The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) announced that the combined net earnings of listed firms grew 46.3 per cent in the first semester to P193.43 billion, from P132.21 billion (US$2.8 billion) in the same period in 2008 as companies under the financial, industrial, holding firms and services sectors reported better profits.

In its study, the PSE said the net income of companies comprising the PSE index (PSEi) advanced 40.8 per cent in the first semester of 2009 to P141.47 billion from P100.5 billion in the same period the previous year.
