The NMC held its first conference for student midwives in Edinburgh at The Royal College of Physicians. Entitled 'Future midwives: the NMC and statutory supervision--how they work for you', it attracted over 28o student midwives from around the UK.
The RCM team, which included staff from the College's headquarters and regional officer Susanna Cafferty engaged students in discussion about their programmes, their aspirations following qualification and informed them of RCM student services.
