It's not exactly a new band. It's more like a better-thought-out version of an older act.

"Just the name The Flops was our way of saying it was a consciously casual thing," John Munson said, talking about the other group he previously played in with Matt Wilson -- or their other other group, I should say.

"The problem was, we wound up getting pretty serious again."

Enter the Twilight Hours, the latest and clearly more ambitious act from these longtime cohorts, who played together in the fame-flirting early-'90s alt-rock band Trip Shakespeare. They stayed close friends while Munson got fame ...
