Jun. 15--QUESTION: CVS Corp. executives will be in town Wednesday to talk about how the drugstore chain is converting Revco stores following last year's acquisition. How many stores in Charlotte will be affected, and what are you doing?
ANSWER: There are 98 stores in the Charlotte area, and about 530 stores in both Carolinas and Savannah and Augusta, Ga. We will either convert stores or relocate them, depending on the real estate. CVS's prototype store is 10,125 square feet, and the average size of the stores in the Charlotte area is about 8,400 square feet. We'll take size into consideration also.
