Today's pressure washers come in many forms to fit a variety of applications. They range from 1000 to 3000 PSI, come in portable and card models, and operate by electricity, gasoline, kerosene or diesel fuel.
Electric models are usually chosen because they are moderately priced, provide enough power for farm equipment use, and work anywhere an electrical outlet and water source are available. Motors contain thermal overload protectors, and all electrical connections are water-tight for operator safety. They generally range from 2.2 to 3.0 gallons per minute and can handle water up to 160 F.
