ALBANY -- A veteran state prison chaplain fighting charges of misconduct allegedly lied about her moonlighting as an instructor at the New York Theological Seminary while on Department of Correctional Services duty, documents obtained by the Times Union reveal. The document explains why prison officials believe the Rev. Glorya C. Askew should be fired after 29 years of service.
The charges, received by the newspaper and authenticated by DOCS, allege Askew fraudulently charged thousands of dollars in state time, hotels and meals to taxpayers.
