Dana Giardina and her husband, Tom, lost 1,500 square feet of living space between Birmingham, Ala., and Virginia Beach last year.
But they don't want it back.
The couple finally gained the lifestyle they'd long desired -near family, friends and a trove of Oceanfront offerings - in a single-story, 2,000 -square-foot cottage along Virginia Beach's Atlantic Avenue .
