TWO MINERS RESCUED FROM NEW SOUTH WALES UNDERGROUND MINE
SYDNEY - Two Australian miners trapped underground in a cage for almost 24 hours are safe and well and have been reunited with family, a New South Wales (NSW) government spokeswoman says.
The two men were left stranded underground after a power blackout caused by a dust storm at Broken Hill in far western NSW.
