The Virginia Port Authority's Board of Commissioners spent 90 minutes in a closed session Tuesday discussing a potential lease of the privately owned APM Terminals facility in Portsmouth by the Port Authority.
No decision was made and no action was taken, said John G. Milliken, the board's chairman. The briefing just brought the board "up to speed on the details of the discussion."
The bimonthly meeting was held at the Virginia Inland Port, about an hour's drive west of Washington, which serves as a truck-and-rail interchange for goods shipped through the Port Authority's ...
