A couple of months ago, I had a miscarriage. Until I knew I was going to have one, that my pregnancy was definitely going to end, miscarriage was something I really didn't think about all that often, though I had read in my growing collection of baby books about its causes and some of its symptoms. The force of this experience was considerable, and was confounded by a powerful surge of anger and frustration at the dearth of clear and detailed information about what was likely to happen to me, when it was likely to happen, and what I could do to manage this event.
Estimates vary, but somewhere between 15-20 per cent of all confirmed pregnancies end in miscarriage, yet ...
