The early focus of most volumes of keyboard music in the series Musica Britannica has finally shifted, albeit briefly, away from the virginalists. Barry Cooper's edition of John Blow's organ music fills a void greatly felt by scholars and performers interested in Restoration music, and this publication by Stainer and Bell gives both the music and the edition a well-deserved stamp of approval.
