Long before Sir Tyrone Guthrie founded the Minneapolis theater that bears his name, the Rev. Paul Peterson did his part in helping create the Twin Cities' vibrant theater scene.
In the 1950s, Peterson was working with an extension service at the University of Minnesota that lent scripts to community theater groups and sometimes provided actors, equipment and lighting to help them produce their shows and form a subscription series.
