Article: What crisis? Asian investors rush to our shores.

Sep 23, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Asian investors completed 153 Australian deals valued at a total of $US17.5bn ($A20bn) in fiscal 2008-09, according to a survey by Dealogic. Analysts said Japanese investors were particularly attracted to the food sector, although they also invested in the financial services and resources industries. Japan invested a total of $US7.8bn in Australian companies, while China invested $US6.8bn.
