Thailand's armed forces and police will have nearly $150 million towards buying military equipment from submarines to police riot gear, the Bangkok Post says.

A Cabinet meeting Tuesday approved a budget of nearly $150 million, government spokesman Supachai Jaisamut said. He said the Ministry of Defense will start the procurement process for weapons, including a submarine, coastal patrol vessels and Seahawk helicopters.
