LEXINGTON, N.C. -- A Greensboro, N.C.-based business court has determined that Lexington Home Brands made reasonable efforts to promote and market the World of Bob Timberlake brand, ending a dispute between the two licensing partners.
The Sept. 9 summary judgment relates to a suit Lexington filed against Bob Timberlake in June. Earlier, Timberlake threatened to terminate its longstanding licensing agreement with Lexington for the Bob Timberlake Collection.
The agreement, which dates back to 1991, is set to expire Dec. 31, 2010. Lexington's suit was aimed at keeping the agreement in place until then.
