"I wouldn't be in my job if I didn't make lots of mistakes," says John Wurzburger, vice president and general manager of the North America Materials Division of Avery Dennison in Mentor. His inexperience cost the company nearly $1 million. It was "the all-time classic" mistake, says Wurzburger. But you have to have those slipups.
