AWARD-WINNING director Joe Wright has abandoned his film about Lady Edwina Mountbatten in India, which was to have starred Oscarwinning actress Cate Blanchett. The movie, Indian Summer, looked at the relationship between Lady Edwina, wife of Lord Mountbatten, India's last Viceroy, and Jawaharlal Nehru, the country's first prime minister.
