The political catfight over Cobo Center appears to be over, but the next skirmish over regionalism may be at hand: the aerotropolis.
Wayne County is about to begin new lobbying efforts in the business community and with state lawmakers to approve revamped incentive legislative for the aviation logistics-based economic development project bills that drew fierce criticism last week from Oakland County, much like previous criticism that forced the withdrawal of similar bills in December.
