PACIFIC INVESTMENT Management Co. LLC is one of those asset management firms often associated with just one person, seemingly at the center of the operation.
In this case, that person is Bill Gross, co-founder of Pimco and manager of the $170 billion Pimco Total Return Fund, the world's largest mutual fund.
