WAYNE, N.J., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- International Specialty Products Inc. (NYSE: ISP) announced today that it has acquired the remaining 50% interest in its joint venture in Marl, Germany, GAF-Huls Chemie GmbH ("GhC"), from partner OXENO Olefinchemie GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Huls AG ("Huls"). GhC consists of a manufacturing facility that produces primarily butanediol and tetrahydrofuran (THF). As part of the transaction, ISP also acquired Huls' modern production facility that supplies GhC with its primary raw material, acetylene.
