SOUTH London five-piece The Maccabees experienced an Art Attack for the cover of their latest album. The band members, who play Birmingham's O2 Academy on Thursday, October 1, were splattered with paint for the cover of second album, Wall Of Arms.

"It's by a lady called Boo Ritson," explains singer Orlando Weeks.

"She's an up and coming artist and I'm sure she'll prove to be a crucial member of the British art scene."

The 40-year-old from Surrey coats her subjects in paint to achieve the effect of an oil painting.
