ACME Portable Machines Inc, a supplier of portable computers, today announced the availability of new portable computer platform, the Comrade series.

The company said that the 'lunchbox style' device is built with a heavy duty aluminium case and comes with seven open expansion slots allowing the installation of any high-speed, full-length and double-deck add-on cards.
