London, Sept 25 (ANI): The theme from Star Wars has been voted as the best science fiction film soundtrack of all time in a new poll.

The original score from 1977 Star Wars film was composed by John Williams.

He has won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA Award and a Grammy Award for his work in all six Star Wars movies between 1977 and 2005.

The soundtrack from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, composed by James Horner, came second, followed by Vangelis' haunting electro soundtrack for Blade Runner at the third place.
