Tamil Nadu's saga of growth and prosperity continues thanks to its progressive minders who have focused largely on all round infrastructure development.

In the post-liberalisation era, Tamil Nadu has enjoyed a robust overall economic development. Its remarkuable progress can be assessed from the fact that it between 1999-00 and 2006-07 registered a noteworthy and impressive 10.69 per cent growth rate in its GDP to reach $ 58.63 billion.
