For international business people, profits can be had by entering global markets, but specific dangers exist in each region. The following is the 1998 outlook for the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa by the U.S. Department of State's Office of International Threat Analysis.
Middle East. Areas on the radar screen for 1998, says analyst Dennis Pluchinsky, include Algeria, Egypt, Israel and the Occupied Territories, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon.
