POLICE are forcing English passengers arriving in Scotland on domestic flights to show their passports or other identity documents.
Anti-terror powers are being used for the first time to set up what critics labelled 'permanent border controls' for people travelling within Britain.
Passengers on internal UK flights are asked for proof of identity by their airline operator before boarding. The lack of borders within the UK means they are usually free to walk straight out on arrival.
