NEW YORK-Even as the title industry is seeing better financial results, one industry observer apparently believes the business is not quite out of the woods yet.
Fitch Ratings, Chicago, downgraded its ratings on three of the four national title insurance groups (it affirmed the fourth, Old Republic International) and has a negative outlook for the industry.
In its reports, Fitch cites challenges faced by the title insurance industry as it believes the downturn will continue. But it also addressed issues specific to each of the four in that negative outlook.
