TOKYO, Sept 28 Asia Pulse - Japan's top- and third-ranked cooking oil makers, Nisshin OilliO Group Ltd. (TSE:2602) and Showa Sangyo Co. (TSE:2004), announced Friday that they are teaming up to reduce production and procurement costs and strengthen their business fundamentals.
As part of the agreement, Nisshin OilliO will commission Showa Sangyo's factory in Ibaraki Prefecture to perform some of the oil pressing and refining tasks currently carried out at its plants in Aichi Prefecture and Okayama Prefecture. This will enable the company to reduce transportation costs for the cooking oil it supplies to commercial users in eastern Japan. By the year ending March ...
