TASHKENT, Sept 28 Asia Pulse - Uzavtosanoat (Uzbek Automobile Industry) joint-stock company and Chasys Co. Ltd. (KSE:033250)(South Korea) have founded a new joint venture UzChasys to provide locally manufactured Daewoo and Chevrolet cars with modern lighting units and expand exports to the CIS.

The project of creation of an enterprise producing car headlights and taillights has been implemented within the Program of Industrial Development and Production Modernization in Namangan region, developed on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

The new plant was built in Namangan in cooperation with the South Korean Chasys Co. within 11 ...
