Nilfisk vacuum cleaners suit Redco Foods to a tea.
Tea is the second-most popular drink in the world, and all of the Salada Tea and Red Rose Tea sold in the United States is made at Redco Foods' Little Falls, N.Y., facility. In addition, this plant produces other black, green, specialty green and decaffeinated teas. That's a lotta tea - not to mention a lotta tea dust.
According to Vince Prestigiacomo, Redco Foods' facilities maintenance manager, this facility had been manually cleaned for more than 100 years. Compressed air was used to blow tea dust off machinery, overhead pipes, ceilings and walls. After it settled, employees wet-mopped the floors. Not only ...
