Ethnic population growth may drive the future baby food market.

Could there be another baby boom in our future? It would seem so, since baby food introductions have more than doubled from what they were in 1996. However, the 1997 figure is still down 13% compared to what it was in 1995. And for the second year in a row, the dollar sales of baby food showed a decline. According to Information Resources Inc., Chicago, overall sales decreased 3.2% in 1997 from 1996.
