With the uncertainty of fuel prices and escalating concern about carbon emissions, the search for alternative energy sources and more efficient vehicle powertrains continues to intensify. While most of the attention has been paid to diesel-electric hybrids, significant progress has been made in the development of hydraulic hybrid drive systems, some of which are now in the final stages of commercialization.
