WALES' largest police force is to give more than 2,000 frontline officers handheld computers at a cost of more than pounds 4m.
BlackBerrys will be issued to more than 2,000 South Wales Police officers to allow them to post updates on incidents while on the road.
Chiefs believe the smart phones will mean officers spend more time patrolling the streets and less time sitting behind a desk.
