Obama speech welcomed by area educators, business

President Barack Obama hailed Hudson Valley Community College's work in training leaders in a "new generation of American manufacturing" and used his two-hour visit to the Capital Region on Monday to talk about the importance of education in the nation's economic resurgence.

He also spoke about the role community colleges will play in shaping the American work force for the 21st century.
