Silvinit may slash potassium chloride output 31% in 2009 (Part 2)
PERM. Sept 28 (Interfax) - Silvinit (RTS: SILV) from Solikamsk, Perm territory, plans to produce 3.5 million tonnes of potassium chloride in 2009, 31.4% less than in 2008, the company told Interfax.
It was reported earlier that Silvinit produced 5.1 million tonnes of potassium chloride in 2008, 6.7% less than in 2007.
Silvinit expects production in the first nine months of 2009 to total 2.2 million-2.3 million tonnes, barely half the figure for the same period last year.
