CHICAGO, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hollinger International Inc. (NYSE: HLR) and American Publishing Co., Hollinger's Community Newspaper Division, announced today the purchase of the Times-West Virginian in Fairmont, West Virginia, and The Meadville Tribune in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Both papers were purchased from Thomson Newspapers.
The Times-West Virginian has daily circulation of 15,675 and The Meadville Tribune has daily circulation of 16,270. Both newspapers are published seven days a week.
