$2M appropriation is first step The city's Planning Board on Tuesday approved a $2 million appropriation to connect a water main to the Scofieldtown area of North Stamford.
The unanimous recommendation marks the first in a series of steps to connect 6,000 feet of Aquarion water main to 59 homes on Hannahs, Larkspur, Cousins and Very Merry roads. The request now moves to the Board of Finance and the Board of Representatives for final approval.
On Monday, the Legislative & Rules Committee of the Board of Representatives passed a motion that will allow the overall board to waive the cost of the line's installation to homeowners by a two-thirds vote.
