The assets of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) should be upgraded to ensure that national security is at an optimum level, its chief General Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin said on Friday.
He said this message was conveyed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when he paid a courtesy visit on Najib at the Prime Minister's Department here.
Azizan, who assumed his post on Sept 1, said Najib expressed the hope of seeing the nation's defences being upheld by a committed armed forces with assets capable of warding off any external threat.
