Abu Dhabi National Energy Co., better known as TAQA (TAQA.AD), expects that a final investment decision on the Bergermeer gas storage project in the Netherlands, in which TAQA is a partner, will be announced within a few weeks, a company executive said Friday.
"I'm confident the project will proceed and expect the announcement to follow within a few weeks", TAQA Europe managing director Paul van Gelder said in an interview with Dow Jones Newswires.
The Bergermeer project, located in the Dutch city of Alkmaar, will be one of Europe's largest gas storage facilities, with an initial working volume of 4.1 billion cubic meters.
