Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded loans and grants totaling $22,736,256 to Iowa through the Rural Energy for America Loan and Grant Program.
This money will help farms and businesses in rural areas become more energy efficient, Grassley said.
The Rural Energy for America Loan and Grant Program funds will be used to help farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses develop renewable energy systems and make energy-efficiency improvements to their operations.
