If you want to ease headaches at the region's airports, you'll get more people to fly from Stewart International Airport in Orange County and build high-speed rail between major cities, if you're listening to the results of a new survey.

In the poll from the Regional Plan Association in Manhattan, 69 percent of those asked said speedier rail service would encourage more people to choose trains over planes for trips under 500 miles, while 64 percent said using Stewart was a good way to lift the burden on the bigger airports.
