HP's (NYSE: HPQ) enterprise services division, which emerged as a result of the purchase of EDS, sees the largest business opportunities in Latin America's financial, telecommunications and media, manufacturing, and air transportation markets, the division's VP and general manager, Eduardo Araujo, told BNamericas.
Araujo said there is room to grow in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia. He noted that HP currently controls 30% of Mexico's outsourcing market, while only 7-8% of Brazil's.
"Brazil appears as the largest market, with close to US$9bn in addressable market," he said. "Brazil is showing extraordinary economic conditions."
