This past January at the International Dairy Foods Assn.'s Dairy Forum in Scottsdale, Ariz., Norman Olson, University of Wisconsin professor emeritus, received the 1998 National Cheese Institute Laureate Award.
"The Laureate is bestowed upon industry leaders, researchers or academics who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of the cheese industry," said Betsy Holden, NCI chair and exec. v.p. and g.m. of cheese, Kraft Foods Inc., Northfield, Ill.
