Works on the Chennai Metro Rail project would be completed by 2015 and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be laying the foundation for the project within a couple of months. This was stated by Dr M Ramachandran, Chairman, Chennai Metro Rail Limited here on Friday.

Answering queries of mediapersons after discussing the progress ofthis Rs 14,600-crore project with Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the Secretariat, Ramachandran said compared to the metro rail projects ofDelhi, Kolkata and Bangalore, the Chennai project was the largest in size ...
