Qatar s bourse inched near the 7,500 mark in the week ended Thursday mainly on local institutions buying support.
Strong buying was seen in the lenders segment as the services-dominated 20-stock benchmark settled at 7,488.25 points in the review week which had only two trading sessions in view of Eid holidays and hence a comparison to the previous week is untenable.
More than 79% of the stocks were on a positive trajectory with notable gainers being Doha Bank, QNB, International Islamic, Qatar Islamic Bank, First Finance, Industries Qatar, Qatar Electricity and Water, Qatar Real Estate Investment and Ezdan Real Estate.
